well, duh. guess i was wrong yesterday, afterall. guess i didn't give voters of american idol the credit they so richly deserved. guess i owe everyone an apology. guess that won't happen. (hey, i never tried to conceal the fact that kevin deserved to get booted off... besides, in case ya didn't notice, the other guy standing in the low-vote circle with the kevmeister was who? that's right...it was bucky.)
oh how i wish i had time to dish this mornin' about the show, including, but not limited to, the bizarre antics of paula (what's up with her? i don't know about you, but she scares me). but i don't, since this is the day i get my hair done... which means i'm gonna be away for awhile.
all i can say, for now, is that mommy and daddy were shocked/relieved to see young kevin covais get his walking papers last night on the show that garnered more viewers in its time period that all 5 networks combined tuesday night. impressive. of course, now that the kevinator's off, i'm guessing that number will drop significantly. hahahaha! just kidding! most viewers are pathetic, just like mommy and daddy.
oh, and speaking of daddy... i'm not sure, but i think right after ryan seacrest announced the "loser", i heard daddy say... "i feel sorry for him" (not ryan, but the kevster). now, if any of you have read any of daddy's posts over the past few weeks (after mommy sucked him into the viewing vortex that is american idol) you know he was shocked the nerdy little kid made it as far as he did. so "i feel sorry for him" is more than hilarious... it's... it's... no. come to think of it, it's just hilarious. even more hilarious, tho', was the fact that kevin actually looked shocked! like he never expected it in a million years! like maybe it was a mistake! like he was actually gonna win and/or be the next american idol. not only was it hilarious, now that i think about it a tick, it was scary.
yikes! as much as i'd love to sit here and chat with you all about the silliness that is my family/the fact that chef got "killed" off of south park / and that wimpy girlie-dog max, i can't. i've got places to go and hair to be shampooed/dried/ brushed out! oy. and don't cry for kevin, argentina. based on the fact that william god-bless-him-but-he-can't-carry-a-tune-in-a-bucket hung managed to carve out a healthy career for himself? i suspect the kevinator, who actually can sing, will be fine...
"He who sings scares away his woes." ~ Cervantes
Sophie hitting the keyboard early this morning, or did she just want to beat me to the "idol" punch? Thanks for revealing my softer side - my sympathy for nerdboy. Oh he deserved to go, oh yes, but somehow he was transformed from evil monster to little nerd boy when he got his walking papers. As you said last night, however, his upside is he'll go from high school nerd to hero and probably not have any problem getting a date for the prom.

Hey, here we are at the same place now. I've got to get moved, set up my blogroll and some links.
I didn't watch American Idol, but the dogs and I did watch something on TV, like Scrubs, I think. Love that Zach Braff...
